A majestic sight!

Recently my daughter and I did a “Thelma and Louise” without death and took a road trip to celebrate her graduating grade 12. The picture is of the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel where we enjoyed the great scenic view of our Rocky Mountains, a little R&R by the pool and of course the city of Banff’s tourist attractions.
Besides the fact that the Fairmont happens to be a majestic resort with impeccable service, they say it is haunted. In fact you find it listed in the book of Alberta hauntings. Coincidence or haunting, we did experience a minor glitch with the elevators where they all stood open and not moving while desperate people were trying to get them to work. Once we all got out and the doors closed it was back to business as usual.
Regardless of the “incident” this resort is one I highly recommend just for the experience of lazing around the outdoor pool surrounded by Glacier Mountains while lulling yourself to sleep with the sound of the Bow Falls. And did I mention that the service is truly something you need to experience to fully grasp the meaning of a 5 star resort?
Till we meet again,
Cheryl Roose
